HB 151 - The "Save Women's Sports Act"
On June 1, 2022, the first day of Pride month, the Ohio House passed the trans athlete sports ban by attaching it to an unrelated bill.
This bill passed through the Senate in December 2022. However, the Ohio House rejected the final version of the HB 151 as a result of other amendments that the Senate added, meaning the transgender athlete ban did NOT become law!
We will be monitoring and speaking out against similar legislation that may be introduced during the 135th General Assembly.
