But when it happens, what form it takes, and who you choose to tell, is completely up to you. As a queer youth, this is your space to be and belong.

Our Programs

KYC's Youth Leadership and Advocacy Teams

Kaleidoscope Youth Center's Youth Leadership Team consists of three committees:

• Community Advisory Board (CAB) is for KYC youth ages 12-24 who are committed to driving KYC’s programs and movement in Ohio.
• Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is for queer youth of color ages 12-24 who are visionaries for a more just society.
• Youth Leadership Council (YLC) is a statewide collective of LGBTQIA+ youth GSA leaders ages 12-20.

Scholarship Opportunities and Financial Assistance

HASI Community Scholarship

HASI Community scholarships include, but are not limited to, gender affirmation needs, educational scholarships, and community grants focused on leadership/personal development. 

​Eligibility for this scholarship includes any cis, trans, gender-expansive, non-binary and/or any girl or femme person ages 12-24 who are members of Black, Indigenous, Latin, Asian, Arab, Pacific Islander communities.

Gender Affirmation Project

The Gender Affirmation Project (GAP) provides FREE binders and gaffs to young people up to age 24. Local pick-up, plus national and international shipping options are available.

Sports Equity Fund

Sports Equity Fund scholarships include, but are not limited to, athletic equipment, team fees or other expenses relating to participation in sports, and other athletic activities.

Eligible athletes include youth 12 - 18 who are participants of K-12 athletics, as well as club sports, recreational teams and classes not affiliated with school athletics.
