Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Behavioral Health Service Provision, Coordination, & Administrative Support
- Provide clinical assessments, therapy/counseling, and support services for a caseload of LGBTQIA+ youth and young adults, ages 12-24. Service provision will take place primarily at KYC’s Wellness Center or via telehealth, but may take place in the community.
- Monitor participation, engagement, progress, and termination of services for clients on practitioner’s caseload
- Support service coordination through collaboration with internal providers in KYC’s Behavioral Health & Clinical Services (BHCS) and Community Based Wellness (CBW) Departments, as well as external agencies and providers
- Provide aftercare services to clients who have experienced acute/crisis care when needed
- In collaboration with other BHCS team members, develop group curricula and co-facilitate therapy/counseling groups as needed
- Participate in monthly on-call rotation along with other BHCS and CBW team members
- Participate in regular individual and group clinical and/or training supervision as assigned
- Maintain up-to-date paperwork, treatment plans, progress notes, and other documentation
- Complete necessary paperwork and data collection in a timely manner as required by funders/KYC policies and procedures
- Comply with relevant agency, local, state, and federal policy, as well as standards of practice and codes of ethics
- Other duties as necessary or as assigned
Behavioral Health & Wellness Programming
- In collaboration with the Director of Behavioral Health & Clinical Services, manage implementation of KYC’s Wellness Center programming as related to behavioral/mental health and wellness
- Plan and implement programs and wellness activities as assigned
- Along with other BHCS and CBW team members, participate in rotation of support during Drop-In Center hours with a focus on providing one-on-one preventative and crisis support to youth in attendance
- Engage with Drop-In Center programming and special events as needed
- Participate in All-Staff meetings, relevant department meetings, programming meetings, and related organizational meetings or events
- Other duties as necessary or as assigned
Professional Development, Community Education, & Outreach
- In collaboration with the Director of Behavioral Health & Clinical Services, support KYC staff mental health and wellness-related training and professional development
- Serve as an advocate for youth leaders and anti-adultism in historically adult spaces
- Provide community education and professional development training opportunities related to wellness and behavioral health as assigned
- Represent KYC at community forums, resource fairs, speaking engagements, and collaborative meetings as assigned
- Collaborate with community providers/partners as needed
- In collaboration with the CBW Connections Program Manager, build and maintain relationships with outside referral agencies
- Other duties as necessary or as assigned
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
- Master’s degree in social service/therapeutic-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. MSW and LSW (or equivalent counseling degree and licensure) required. LISW/independent licensure eligible (or equivalent counseling degree and licensure) strongly preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience providing individual and group therapy and/or counseling to youth and young adults. Internship/Field Practicum experience is accepted
- Experience working with LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, disabled, and/or neurodivergent youth and young adults
- Strong commitment to and understanding of LGBTQIA+ people, communities, and related issues
- Areas of competence and familiarity must include; but not be limited to, community-based mental health services, mental health symptoms and interventions, neurodivergence, gender expansive youth, trauma, self-injurious behavior, suicidal ideation, traditional challenges of young adulthood, crisis interventions, homelessness, and community resources in the greater Columbus and Central Ohio area
- Familiarity with the social, medical, and legal aspects of gender transition processes preferred
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Adaptable personality with a high level of comfort meeting new people and commitment to exemplary customer service

- Knowledge and understanding of practices related to Trauma Informed Care and Racial Justice
- Computer proficiency and an understanding of Google Workspace preferred

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Grants Management
- Maintain up to date knowledge of grant deliverables, reporting deadlines; and ensure required data is submitted to funders on time.
- Proactively monitor and engage in problem solving related to compliance and reporting.
- Review grant related expenses and document necessary ledger corrections or adjustments, as necessary.
- Complete revenue and budget entries in accounting software.
- Create all billing documents and manage grant billing functions for assigned grants.
- Perform duties related to month end closing including grants receivable reconciliations to revenue and payments for each assigned grant.
- Meet with funders (site visits, audits, requested funder meetings).
- Review payroll/personnel reports to respective grants; address discrepancies.
- Assist with creating budgets for programs and funders.
- Create/maintain progress reports for each program/funder to keep track of spending and address issues such as over or underspending.
- Meet with departments to review fiscal reports related to their respective program(s).
Accounting
- Assist with weekly Accounts Payable processes and check-run.
- Assist with weekly Accounts Receivable processes and deposits.
- Assist with month end and year end close processes/accruals.
- Assist with annual independent financial audit and periodic funder audits.
- Improve results through problem solving and creative resourcefulness.
- Set individual priorities and effectively monitor progress towards achievement.
- Demonstrate sound business judgment, exercise professional conduct, understand and follow business ethics and standards, and maintain a high level of confidentiality in all duties.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
- Minimum 2-3 years of accounting and grants experience preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to engage in culturally responsive and relevant communication with diverse communities.
- Experience with and/or knowledge of working on behalf of and promoting progressive issues.
- Experience with a nonprofit 501(c) (3) (non profit) organization strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and meet identified benchmarks and deliverables.
- Working knowledge and experience in the use of computer spreadsheet applications, accounting software, applications, word processing, and Google Suite products.
- Demonstrated grant reporting or other types of writing experience.
- Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and structure analysis for complex business issues.
- Sufficient knowledge to comprehend and create financial analyses.
- Demonstrate the ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, wisdom, experience and judgment.
- Ability to appropriately manage confidential information.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively on multiple projects simultaneously.
