House Bill 8 - "Parents' Bill of Rights"
Ohio House Bill 8 could lead to teachers and other school personnel having to out students to their families. H. B. 8 was voted out of the Ohio House of Representatives on June 21, 2023. It now moves to the Ohio Senate, where it was assigned to the Education Committee.

Ohio House Bill 8 would require public schools to:
- Require school districts to provide parents with a notice about and opportunity to review "sexuality content" and provide alternative instruction upon request
- Prohibit school personnel from encouraging a student to withhold from a parent information concerning the student's health or wellbeing
- Notify parents about school-provided healthcare services and notify parents about changes to the health services provided to their children
