The vision behind the KYC & Friends Campaign is to create a space where local and visiting Queer individuals can connect, feel affirmed, celebrated, and inspired. BBQueer | August 8th
1392 Fairwood Ave. (Fairwood Park) BBQueer is all about setting our Qummunity up for success! This year, we are bringing the celebration to Fairwood Park for a day centered on connection, community, and making memories together. Through free school supplies, meaningful connections, and a welcoming space to gather, BBQueer helps ensure LGBTQIA+ youth and young adults have the resources and support they need to start the school year feeling prepared and empowered. Because of the generosity of our community, KYC can continue creating opportunities where young people feel supported, celebrated, and reminded that they belong. Together, we are building a stronger Qummunity where belonging begins here. |

Unity Soiree | October 8th
777 N. 4th Street Columbus, OH 43215 | The Ellis Unity Soiree is KYC’s annual fall fundraiser, bringing together community, celebration, and support for LGBTQIA+ youth and young adults across Central Ohio. This year, we are moving the celebration to The Ellis for an unforgettable evening featuring a curated silent auction experience, food, cocktails, awards, and opportunities to connect with our Qummunity. Together, we will celebrate the impact of our community and continue investing in affirming spaces, programs, and resources where LGBTQIA+ youth can thrive. |

Drag Brunch 2026
Drag Brunch 2026 brought together community, celebration, and unforgettable performances in support of LGBTQIA+ youth across Central Ohio. Featuring local talent including Anisa Love, Virginia West, Devon Ayers, and more, the afternoon was a powerful reflection of what it looks like to show up, celebrate authenticity, and invest in young people.
