Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering with Kaleidoscope Youth Center! Volunteers play such an important role in our organization by supporting and cultivating a safe environment for LGBTQ+ youth ages 12-20 who gather for social interaction, activities, leadership development, and support.
If you're at least 23 years old, can commit to six (6) months of volunteering, and have a passion for supporting LGBTQ youth, we encourage you to fill out the form below for one of our available volunteer opportunities:
We are currently in need of volunteers for:
Genderscope Programming (Tues 7:00pm - 8:30pm, Thurs 5pm - 7pm):Genderscope is a safe and affirming space for trans, gender nonconforming, and questioning youth. We're looking for trans and gender nonconforming-identified volunteers who are open to being mentors for our youth! You can volunteer to join us for Tuesday night's discussion groups and/or Thursday's community/activity nights!
Friday Night Programming (5pm - 8pm): This is open to anyone who wants to come and hang out with us on one of our busiest days! Typical Friday nights involve popcorn/movie nights, open mic nights, parties, and other open-ended activities.
After you've filled out the below form, someone from KYC will be in contact with you shortly to set up an interview. If you have a group that is interested in volunteering for a specific project or a full "day of service", an application and interview may not be necessary. Please give us a call at (614) 294-5437 or email us to discuss further.
