KYC's Family of Trans* Youth Support & Discussion Group:
Supporting families supporting trans* youth. This group meets every Tuesday from 7:00-8:30pm, typically at the Main Branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library. For more details or to register for the next meeting, contact Robin at familysupportgroup@kycohio.org.
Columbus PFLAG:
PFLAG Columbus, which provides education and support for parents, families and friends of LGBTQ persons, and advocates for LGBTQ persons, meets twice per month. For more information on meeting times/locations, please visit PFLAG Columbus on Facebook or at columbuspflag.com.
Family Acceptance Project:
The Family Acceptance Project™ is a research, intervention, education and policy initiative that works to prevent health and mental health risks for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) children and youth, including suicide, homelessness and HIV – in the context of their families.
TransYouth Family Allies:
TYFA mission is to empower children and families by partnering with educators, service providers and communities, to develop supportive environments in which gender may be expressed and respected.
Gender Spectrum:
Gender Spectrum provides education, training and support to help create a gender sensitive and inclusive environment for children of all ages. The Gender Spectrum Lounge is an online support community for both youth and parents.
